is a warming wetsuit for your dog in cold waters. The Lost Birds neoprene vest keeps the entire back warm. It extends to the base of the dog’s tail when sitting in a harness to protect and prevent the occurrence of water tail. A new feature is a place on the back for either a Tracker Active or a waterproof Orbiloc light, as tracking is often done even after dark, the light helps to see where the dog is going. A common problem with neoprene vests on the market is their poor fit, which can cause more harm than good when working. They strain the dog’s muscles, as freedom of movement is not achieved, and they cannot be adjusted exactly where the greatest need would be. We developed the best possible vest for a dog’s work in cold waters with animal physiotherapists Maarit Hankaniemi and Marika Ruottinen. Thanks to a special seam structure, the vest can also be cut from the shoulder seams and release the full freedom of movement of the front legs and shoulders individually for each dog. So remember to watch the video below and cut the leg holes according to the instructions.

Neoprene thickness 3mm, Velcro all along the zipper, snaps at the ends, place on the back for Orbilock light or Tracker Active GPS tracker.

New optional accessory is a lightening handle, which makes it easier to lift the dog into the boat. The handle and vest are not designed to fully lift the dog, but are intended to help get the dog onto a boat/raft when you can grab onto something. The lightening handle is added to the finished product, you can see the stock balances from the section without a lightening handle.

S small female Labrador, spaniels (om 18-21kg)
M normal female Labrador, small male Labrador (approx 22-26kg)
L normal male Labrador, normal female Golden Retriever (approx.  27-33kg)
XL large male Labrador, smooth-coated Retriever male, Golden Retriever male ( approx. 34-39kg)

Measurement Instructions
Measure the dog’s back length and chest circumference, chest circumference may vary by about +- 3cm
XS size chest circumference 60cm, back length 45-48cm
S size chest circumference 68cm, back length 51-55cm
M size chest circumference 72cm, back length 56-59cm
L size chest circumference 76cm, back length 60-64cm
XL size chest circumference 80cm, back length 65-69cm

Neoprene stretches somewhat and the fit should be snug. If your dog’s measurements deviate significantly from these measurements, you will need a custom-made vest.
